Ctrí is continuing its migration to the national ICT infrastructure programme. The project has now commenced the procurement process for a new National Emergency Call Handling and Mobilising System for the Irish Fire Service. This platform will provide integrated Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence across the three current Regional Communications Centres and over 200 fire stations developing a single national Command and Control Platform. The procurement process involves a wide review team that is made up of RCC managers, technical staff, operational staff, end users and Senior Fire Officers, in the order of 20 members of the wider fire service. This group is reviewing, evaluating and scoring each supplier bid, attending demonstrations and presenting their requirements to each of the bidders.
